City of Reno Dance Artist Grant
Through the generosity of the Reno City Council, Sierra Nevada Ballet has been allocated $50,000 of the CARES ACT Funding to distribute to local dance artists impacted by COVID -19 to preserve and protect the art of dance in the Reno Community.
Based Upon Need the Grant Award Range: $1,000 to $3,000. Maximum Grant Applicants may apply for up to $3000.
One application per individual applicant only.
Grant Restrictions : Grant funds are for dance artists who have been impacted by COVID-19 only. Funds may not be requested for use for projected loss of revenue from events and jobs not yet scheduled or booked, or for any anticipated losses of income. If you are selected as a recipient, you will be required to submit a brief (500 word) report on how this grant enabled you to continue to practice the art of dance. Applicants must be a Northern Nevada resident.
Grant Review: The grant review process will take place in December 2020. This application needs to be filled in completely and submitted by November 30, 2020 or it cannot be considered.
Grant Notification: Grant recipients will be notified by email or by phone of their award status. Please do not call Sierra Nevada Ballet for status updates, as staff cannot comment on an applicant’s status, only whether the applicant’s grant application was received.
Grant Payment: Grant payments will be made by check in the name of the applicant.
